- Ushering in the Festive Season, the Festival Lights get turned on. With a history spanning over five decades, the City of Cape Town illuminates its streets with themed lights that signify the season. On the 1st of December 2024 at Cape Town Grand Parade.
- Africa Games Week – Shining a spotlight on Africa’s Gaming Industry, this curated event focuses on fostering the global gaming ecosystem. For all gaming enthusiasts, visit Workshop 17 at the V&A Waterfront between the 2nd and 5th of December 2024.
- The Goo Goo Dolls live at Kirstenbosch Gardens – Who doesn’t love a classic sing-along to some nineties rock? With the beauty of nature surrounding you…on the 4th of December 2024, at Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens.
- HSBC SVNS Cape Town – Two days of action-packed rugby sevens returns to the DHL Stadium on the 7th and the 8th of December 2024. 12 of the top men and women international rugby sevens teams from across the globe take to the field.
- Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol – From the 10th of December 2024, Theatre on the Bay in Camps Bay brings some festive magic to the stage with a show that celebrates humanity, family and generosity of spirit. Aimed at audiences 16 years of age and older.
- O Holy Night – A Classical Symphonic Christmas – The Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra and Opera put on a spectacular show at St. George’s Cathedral in Cape Town from the 11th of December 2024.
- My Fair Lady – From the 12th of December 2024, an absolute classic at the Artscape Theatre, Cape Town. One the world’s most loved musicals on Cape Town’s stage.
- Cape Town Carols at Kirstenbosch – It wouldn’t be the Festive Season in Cape Town without a gathering at the foot of the mountain, picnic blankets spread, and the whole family singing along to Christmas Carols. Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens from the 12th until the 15th of December 2024.
- The Nutcracker – A family favourite ballet, this classic masterpiece will be running at the Artscape Theatre from the 13th until the 29th of December 2024. With beautiful dances, Tchaikovsky’s music and themes of wonder and imagination. A holiday show for all ages.
