Upcoming events to look forward to…

  • Candlelight: Vivaldi’s Four Seasons – Classical music, reimagined. Candlelight concerts bring the romance of a live, multi-sensory musical experience to a unique stage setting in Cape Town, from the 1st of August 2025. A tribute to Queen and The Beatles will be performed on the 9th of August 2025.
  • Women’s Rugby – A wonderful family event, celebrating the nation’s sport! Watch the Springbok Women showcase their brilliance against the reigning Rugby World Cup champions, the Black Ferns XV, in the final warm-up game ahead of their preparations for the Women’s World Cup in England – to be held at the end of the month. On the 2nd of August 2025, at the Athlone Stadium.
  • National Women’s Day – The day South Africa celebrates the matriarchs of our nation. Head out to a long lunch table or a decadent venue surrounded by all of the great women in your life, celebrating their existence in our lives. Saturday the 9th of August 2025.
  • Lord of the Dance – Michael Flatley’s world-renowned Lord of the Dance takes to the South African stages between the 15th and the 17th of August 2025, at Grand Arena, GrandWest, as part of the highly-anticipated ‘A Lifetime of Standing Ovations’ tour. If you haven’t witnessed the traditional Irish dancing before, make sure you take this opportunity to witness one of the most successful dance productions in the world.
  • SPRINGBOKS Vs WALLABIES – The Springboks defend their Castle Lager Rugby Championship title and take on the Wallabies at the DHL Stadium, Cape Town, on the 23rd of August 2025. Adding to the excitement, it’s the Australian team’s first appearance in the Mother City in over a decade, and their debut at the iconic DHL Stadium.
  • Chicago the Musical – This jazz-filled musical masterpiece brings the roaring 1920s to life with its thrilling tale of fame, fortune, and all that jazz. Don’t miss the chance to experience Broadway’s longest-running American Musial live on our South African stage. At the Artscape Opera House from the 27th of August 2025.
  • CPO Spring Symphony Concert One – Conductor Daniel Raiskin – Music Director of the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra in Canada, Principal Conductor of the Slovak Philharmonic and Principal Guest Conductor of the Belgrade Philharmonic – conducts the first of two concerts of the CPO’s Spring Symphonies. South Africa’s popular pianist Francois du Toit’s Gershwin Piano Concerto in F will be on stage! At Cape Town’s City Hall on the 28th of August 2025.
