- A Little Night Music – Cape Town Opera presents a dazzling evening with Stephen Sondheim’s elegant musical of love, longing and second chances. Set in turn-of-the-century Sweden, this musical follows a web of lovers – past, present, and hopeful – as they navigate the follies of the heart. At Theatre on the Bay, from the 1st until the 12th of July, 2026.
- The Pirates of Penzance – Cape Town G&S presents a bold new staging of Gilbert and Sullivan’s comic opera, The Pirates of Penzance – a high-energy celebration of wit, romance and theatrical flair. At the Artscape Theatre, from the 4th until the 12th of July, 2026.
- Disney on Ice – Mickey’s Search Party, a magnificent show where your favourite Disney stories come to life with dazzling skating, breathtaking stunts and unforgettable music for the whole family to enjoy. At the Grand Arena, GrandWest from the 10th until the 19th of July, 2026.
- Something Rotten – A gloriously cheeky, tap-dancing, jazz-handed love letter to theatre that gleefully asks one very important question: what happens when the Bard’s competition gets desperate enough to invent the musical? The answer, as it turns out, is chaos, spectacle, and a lot of rhyming couplets. At the Artscape Theatre, from the 10th until the 18th of July, 2026.
- Cape Town Festival of Running – A two-day celebration of running, teamwork and wholefamily fun dedicated to healthy living. The 26th edition sets off early on Saturday, with a 50km race and ends with the 5 x 5km team relay at midday. On Sunday, more than a thousand runners line-up for the 21km race through one of the most scenic neighbourhoods in Cape Town. Starting at the Sea Point Promenade, from the 18th until the 19th of July, 2026.
- The Leap – In a fever-dream at John Vorster Square, history collides with operatic fantasy as Puccini’s Tosca appears, transforming political brutality into a transcendent meditation on courage, love, and freedom within South Africa’s turbulent past. At the Artscape Theatre from the 22nd until the 25th of July, 2026.
- Moyo Kirstenbosch Indoor Concert Classics – Hosted in the cosy comforts of the MOYO Kirstenbosch Restaurant, this classical concert comes with and all-inclusive dinner, access to the gardens, and an evening of beautiful music. A recital with pianist Isaac Van der Merwe on the 26th of July, 2026.
