Upcoming events to look forward to…
- FAME Week Africa – For all of the Cape Town creatives out there, this is an extraordinary event at the Cape Town International Convention Centre, from the 1st until the 6th September 2025. FAME brings together co-related events focusing on the major creative economies, including film, television, animation, music, fashion and entertainment technology. Providing a powerful platform to bring culture, talent and all of the stories to the forefront.
- Spring Symphonies – The award-winning German violinist, Tassilo Probst in the Wieniawski Violin Concerto, with Daniel Raiskin at Cape Town City Hall – around the corner from Labotessa – on the 4th of September 2025.
- Jacques Brel is Alive, and Well, and Living in Paris – A musical revue of the songs of Jacques Brel. A revered West End production lands on the South African stage at the Artscape Theatre from the 4th of September 2025.
- Open Book Festival – This vibrant literary event gathers authors, readers, and all literary enthusiasts for a 3-day celebration of literature. Featuring author panel discussions, readings, poetry performances, and everything that nurtures the art of storytelling. A wonderful opportunity for diverse communities to engage in meaningful conversations. From the 5th until the 7th of September 2025, at the Homecoming Centre, Cape Town.
- Chelsea Flowers in Stanford – A chance to witness Leon Kluge’s Gold-Award winning 2025 RHS Chelsea Flower Show Display, that has been recreated in Stanford. Presented by Grootbos Private Nature Reserve and the Grootbos Foundation, from the 10th until the 24th of September 2025. Alongside this display will be a collection of botanical artworks from the Grootbos Florilegium, featuring fynbos plants from the region. An awe-inspiring opportunity to immerse yourself in the glory of the Cape Floral Kingdom.
- WOMAD Cape Town – Bringing together a fusion of global talent, WOMAD celebrates the vibrant world of music, art, and dance. A wonderful experience that promotes cross-cultural awareness and unity, on a South African stage. With a focus on economic development, cultural tourism, and job creation, the event offers an enriching experience that honours legacies, celebrates milestones, and embraces the power of music and dance to connect communities. From the 22nd until the 28th of September 2025, at various locations around Cape Town.
- Loeries Creative Week – Definitely the largest gathering of its kind in the region, this event brings together the best in the creative industry, for a festival of networking, and a celebration and recognition of great work. Comprising of awards evenings, masterclasses, seminars and workshops, and several partner and agency events, there will be a number of experiences to dive into. From the 29th of September until the 10th of October 2025, at Cape Town City Hall and The Homecoming Centre.
