- WOMAD Cape Town – A vibrant celebration of music, arts and dance at a selection of city venues, including Cape Town City Hall, St George’s Cathedral and the V&A Waterfront. From the 1st until the 7th October 2024. WOMAD Cape Town offers an enriching experience that honours legacies and embraces the power of music and the arts to connect communities.
- Chelsea Flowers in Stanford 2024. The heart of the fynbos landscape, Stanford, is putting on a spectacular display from the esteemed South African landscape designer, Leon Kluge. A recreation of his flower display that won Gold this year at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show, for Best New Design and Best in the Pavilion. Head to the quaint little country town just outside of Hermanus for some blooming, beautiful inspiration. Until the 6th of October 2024, 32 Queen Victoria Street, Stanford. - Whilst you’re in the neighbourhood, why not head to the annual Stanford Cheese & Wine Festival for some seriously delicious tastings of the local, artisanal treats on offer? On the 5th of October 2024, at Walker Bay Vineyards & Birkenhead Brewery, Stanford.
- The Franschhoek Classic Car Festival is back once again, bringing some beautiful vintage engines to the wine village. From Alpha Romeos to Ford Mustangs, Porches and Rolls Royces – over 150 classic cars will be on display. A lovely day out for all car enthusiasts at the Franschhoek Huguenot Memorial Monument on the 5th and the 6th of October 2024.
- Disney’s The Magic Box opens at the Artscape, Cape Town on the 9th of October for a limited season. Witness the finest, fresh young talent take to the South African stage for an immersive, theatrical story of 100 years of Disney. Great for the whole family!
- The European Film Festival at the Labia is returning from the 11th of October 2024, featuring the best of European cinemas – 14 different films from 14 different countries. A wonderful dose of European film culture on our African screens, that’s only a short walk away from Labotessa.
- Summer Symphonies at City Hall – An evening of classical music just around the corner from Church Square. From the 19th of October 2024 at Cape Town City Hall, Darling Street.
- Country Music Festival – For all country music lovers, get ready for an unforgettable weekend at the Cape Town Country Music Festival on the 26th and 27th October 2024, at the iconic DHL Stadium, Cape Town. Eight international country artists and ten local performers take to the stage.
- Cape Town Gin Festival – A variety of world-class gin brands, expertly crafted cocktails, gourmet food and live music at GrandWest Casino and Entertainment World on the 26th of October 2024. Get ready to sip and savour the Schweppes Cape Town Gin Festival.
